Books for Cabbages
A series of children's stories, written in light verse and illustrated by children, for
children of all ages.
It was Mark Twain who made the observation that "a cauliflower is just a cabbage
with a college education." We wholeheartedly agree with Mr. Twain's vegetative
philosophy. However, seeing how our own education is mostly self-inflicted, we
must then assume that we are neither cauliflower nor cabbage but something
different -- and yet related -- most probably a Brussels sprout.
We at SunShine DixieLand would like to see all cabbages grow up to be cauliflower;
or at the very least, Brussels sprouts. We know that the first step on that auspicious
journey to enlightenment is learning how to read and comprehend. Hoping to inspire
many, we have published these Books for Cabbages. We sincerely pray that God
will bless all who read them. S.W.
