War Has A Lover
by Stephen Wayne
Written in the aftermath of Vietnam...when my brother came
home...and they spit on him, and called him,"murderer".
He gave his life to his Country. He also served in Gulf War I...
and in the aftermath of that war, infiltrating, and fighting against
domestic terrorist...untill his own life was taken.
This is for all my brothers and sisters, fellow human beings, of
many tribes, nations, and kindred peoples... who are right now,
as I speak, dying in the fiery battles... with the bloody whore
called war...

War has a lover... He rides a horse of gray...
War has a lover... Death is his name...

Lord where are your sons your daughters...
Are they still out on patrol...
Are they still in the fiery battles...
With the bloody whore called war...

Lord where are your sons your daughters...
The ones who never return...
Don't you love them like a Father...
Though your children never learn...
