Patience
by Sylvia Rose
When a rose blossoms, it wants to express everything
Every tiny little thing that it has been contemplating

How much it will grow
What color it will be
And how many petals it will have

All it needs it a little time, and patience as well

This is how I think of life, mainly my emotions
The emotions that I show toward everyone each day
I like to wait and see what happens most of the time

How I will say something
How I will act
And how I will express those overwhelming feelings of mine

Life itself, revolves around patience

A baby in it's mothers tummy, waits patiently for the right time
A seed, just freshly planted, waits patiently for the right time
A teenage girl, falling madly in love with the guy of her dreams,
waits patiently for the right time

The mother of the baby
The planter of the seed
And the dream guy of that teenage girl
All wait patiently too

I never said that patience was an easy task
It can, and most likely will, be hard at times
But I can tell you this
With all of my honest truth
Patience is really worth everything

From the celestials up above
To the earth down below
Patience, is how we live each day of our lives.
